Worst Christmas Song Ever

I tend to agree with Bob Geldof.

Although this one is a strong contender.

Do you have a least favorite Christmas song?

Isn't there an old song about Susie Snowflake? I'd never heard it as a child, wish I'd never heard it as an adult either.

Oh, and I HATE Alvin and the Chipmunks' Christmas song. Okay, I can't stand them at any time.

And not the worst by any means, but just one I personally don't like -- John Lennon's Happy Christmas (The War is Over). Good lyrics, but for some reason I dislike the melody. It's always played SO much, too.

Another one I don't like, and I can't really say why, is Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree. Or Jingle Bell Rock. Oh, and don't play Grandma Got Run Over by a Reindeer unless you want me to sprain a finger changing the radio station.

I don't mind Jingle Bell Rock, though it's far from a favourite, but I don't like the other two, either!

You know, there's a carol I just can't stand, either: Lo, How A Rose E'er Blooming. It's like a freakin' funeral dirge. I know it's well-loved by many, but ugh, not my cup of tea. And I do love Christmas choral music!

Feliz Navidad--and I live in South Texas, so I hear it all the time, and it's NEVERENDING!

Mary .. I totally agree! Feliz Navidad makes me CRAZY. Repetitive much? Oy...

HATE.

Not fond of the songs that aren't Christmas songs suddenly becoming Christmas songs either, like "My Favorite Things" or "Ava Maria".

Or, ay-yi-yi :)

We heard "My Favorite Things" today, in fact.
