Relief Effort for the Soldiers

Suzanne McMinn points out a good cause to support during this time of crisis: Soldiers' Angels. Many in the military deployed in Iraq, Afghanistan and other parts of the world have lost everything in the hurricane and aftermath. Consider giving to this fund that will directly help the men and women on the frontlines during this time of grave need.

Thank you, but I'm extremely fortunate. I live in central Alabama, where we had some wind, some trees and power lines down and some fairly widespread power outages, but nobody was hit that hard. Most of us have power back now (Mine went out for less than an hour, in the middle of the night when I didn't even realize it), so I didn't suffer at all. I even got a day off out of it when the power stayed off at my office until after closing the next day.

But I'm very concerned about the people along the Gulf Coast who are suffering so much.

At least, things seem to be getting little better since help has finally arrived.

Lynn and I are planning on coming to the HOD workshop Saturday IF gas is available. We are running out in this area and HOD is a 2 hour drive for us. Do you live near Cullman? Have you heard anything about the gas supplies?
