Chickasaw County Captive is Available on eHarlequin

My February book is now on sale at eHarlequin.com.

If you just can't wait (and come on, you know you can't!), you can get your copy early from eHarlequin, and at a lower cover price, too!

What to know more about this book? Here's the back cover copy:
When someone tries to kidnap his daughter, Jefferson County DA Sam Cooper sees red. He wants little Maddy protected, at any cost. Even if that cost includes working with a distractingly attractive detective, Kristen Tandy. He knows Kristen wants to solve the case…so why does she try so hard to stay distant from him and his little girl? Remaining professional is something he fully understands, but the emotional—and physical—scars Kristen tries to hide make Sam deeply interested in turning things personal. And the more protection Kristen offers his daughter, the more her closely guarded vulnerability draws him in. Before long, as the truth of her past is slowly revealed, Sam realizes just how desperate someone is for her to remain silent.…
Now, here's your contest for today: go read the excerpt linked on the Chickasaw County Captive page on eHarlequin and answer this question: What is Sam's response when Kristen and her partner ask to talk to his daughter Maddy?
The first person to answer correctly wins a $10 Barnes and Noble gift certificate. The second person to answer correctly wins a signed copy of your choice of my backlist books, Forbidden Territory, Forbidden Temptation, Forbidden Touch or Cowboy Alibi.

Hi, Paula, and Happy New Year! What a wonderful way to start 2010 - with a new book out! I look forward to reading it and learning more about all those interesting brothers. I hope the response you're looking for is "Can't it wait?" while still in the ED waiting room. Have a great day and congratulations again!

I missed the contest, obviously, but that's okay. I've ordered the book and am looking forward to reading it. Should be another great read--I finished the first Cooper Justice book yesterday. :-)

Yay for the winners - Marie, you win the gift card from Barnes and Nobel, and Ellen Too, you can have any of my backlist books you want. Or, if you've read them all (and really, why haven't any of you already read them all, huh?), I have a handful of other Intrigues I can substitute instead. Email me (my contact address is linked on my website: www.paulagraves.com) with your mailing address.

Kea, you already have two books coming to you from me anyway, so that'll be like a consolation prize. :)

Actually I have read your backlist books. I don't have your Cooper Justice books which are not backlist books.

Congrats to Ellen Too and Marie! I'm sorry I was too late to the contest, but I'm glad for you two!

Don't worry, JV and everyone else who didn't comment in time. I'll be posting new contests all month long to celebrate the publication of my January book--and more contests to come in February for book two, also.

If you haven't become a follower of this blog, just click the "Follow" button on the right side of your page. That way, every time I post a blog entry, you can be notified by email so you can be Johnny-on-the-spot for the contests. (And don't worry about being inundated by mail from me--I'm not an overly prolific blogger, as almost anyone here can attest).

Sorry I didn't get to this in time. When I first clicked on the link it didn't work. The book sounds fabulous though and can't wait to get a copy of it.

I missed the contest, but wanted to say that it sounds like it will be a good read.

Happy New Year!
