Form Rejection Letters Suck

Just thought it needed saying.

That cannot be said too often. :)

I'm always of two minds about form rejections, though. I'm kind of glad they exist, because you don't want to be pestering an editor or agent who just doesn't like your writing. It gives you a little separation from those rejection letters that tell you a little more about what's right and wrong with your book, and that mention sending the editor or agent any other projects you have.

That way, when you get a "good" rejection, you know you're making progress, at least with that particular editor or agent, and you know where to target your next project. If everybody sent friendly, positive rejections instead of form Rs, you'd be so confused!

I'm confused anyway at least half the time. ;)
